You will need to fill out the following two forms and email them to WorkPermits@hesperiausd.org: You must have a job or an offer of employment to obtain a work permit. Please be sure to include the school you attend in your email.
All work permits and questions should be directed to WorkPermits@hesperiausd.org.
Once submitted we will process the paperwork and the student can pick up the permit from the district office. In the present situation it can take up to 24 hours to complete the process but we will make it a priority to get the students to work.
Unlike a standard class, Work Experience curriculum is based on different sections of an employed student’s experience in the work place and their career choices. Since some of our student are now out of work, we will concentrate on their career choices and what they can look forward too as they contemplate their future. This will include personality surveys and skill profile tests, college options and career paths based on the students answers and responses to each test and survey they take.
Students will register and complete most of their work on https://hesperia.cacareerzone.org/ which will allow me to both monitor and communicate with each student as they proceed through the curriculum. We will also communicate through email and phone conversations as needed. The students will also use our google classroom.
