HUSD would like to celebrate an amazing student. Tianna L Wilson is a Mojave High School Student who is also a part of the WTP and WIOA programs with HUSD staff members Mr. Von der Heide and Mrs. Larabell. Tianna was introduced to the WTP Program by her grandmother who has referred two other students in the past 10 years. Tianna thrived under the program mentoring, career guidance, paid work experience, and academic support. Through Tianna’s dedication and hard work, she has earned a large number of credits in a very short time and will graduate high school in the Spring of 2022. She participated in the Workability Program and then the WIOA Program for paid work experience. HUSD would like to thank America’s Tire and all the other local businesses which have partnered with the district to help our students prepare today for tomorrow’s world. Tianna used this paid work experience to secure full-time employment. Tianna is also the only full-time female employee at her new job! We are all proud of Tianna as she is financially independent, has her own place, recently purchased her own car, and is also an academic success at MHS.
