For today's #SchoolSiteHighlight we visit Cedar Middle School. Students participated in a Social Emotional Learning Lunch Activity—Spring Bash—hosted by their counselors. Students enjoyed nachos, music, an egg hunt, tug of war, and a three-legged race, creating a fun and engaging opportunity to build community, strengthen social-emotional skills, and win prizes.

For today's #SchoolSiteHighlight we are at Eucalyptus in Ms. Erb's TK class for their closing circle activity. At the beginning and the end of each day the class comes together to share their thoughts and recap their learning. In HUSD, relationships and collaboration are every bit as important as the standards being taught. Way to go Koalas!

For today's #HUSDbehindthescenes we visit the HUSD Facilities Department. They've been hard at work behind the scenes, and the numbers speak for themselves: Hesperia High School Center for the Arts: Over 40,000 linear feet of conduit! An astounding 58,000+ man-hours dedicated! 53,000 blocks laid with precision! Plus, fantastic progress on our Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP) locatable buildings at 11 sites, nearing completion, AND 8 sites with TK buildings either completed or being worked on! When asked what makes his team so successful Assistant Deputy Superintendent Dr. George Landon said, "Teamwork and collaboration is the secret to our department's success." Thank you for your dedication and hard work in building our future!

14 CTE Fire Science students from Hesperia High brought the heat at the Physical Agility Competition hosted at Fontana High! Competing against eight other teams — including Law Enforcement Explorer Posts and fellow Fire Tech programs — our students earned an impressive 3rd place overall, missing 1st by just four points! Proud of our future first responders for their grit, teamwork, and CTE pride!

#SchoolSiteHighlightThis year, Sultana High School's talented advanced fashion design students took a creative field trip to a local thrift shop in the High Desert. They scoured through vintage, unfashionable pieces and gave them a second life by transforming them into bold, modern creations. The result? A stunning showcase of upcycled fashion that redefines what it means to be "in style." Sultana celebrated their innovative designs at the 2nd Annual Renaissance Upcycled Fashion Show, where sustainability meets creativity in the world of fashion! We’re so proud of our students for their hard work and dedication in turning old clothes into brand new masterpieces. They created an amazing show of talent, style, and environmental consciousness!
