#SchoolSiteHighlight Another example of the amazing Patriot Day events at HUSD schools, this time at Cypress School of the Arts! The Cypress Cyclones also wore their best red, white, and blue clothing and created amazing arts and crafts to celebrate the day. The American Flag hearts were an especially awesome touch! Great job Cyclones!

#SchoolSiteHighlight Today we are at Mesquite Trails Elementary for Patriot Day. Mesquite staff and students celebrated by wearing red, white, and blue, singing patriotic songs, and drawing pictures commemorating the holiday. These soaring Eagles are just one example of the many Patriots Day events throughout the district. This post, event, and holiday honors the lives lost and the patriotic unity that carries us forward!

HUSD has been monitoring EPA and AQMD air quality data. Currently, with air quality in the moderate range, the District plans to remain open Wed 9/11/24 with modified schedules to limit time outdoors. If air quality changes to make school closure a necessity the District will make further announcements. We urge families to consider their individual needs when deciding to send their children to school. Again, our deepest thanks to the firefighters who continue to work to keep us safe.
All after school outdoor extracurricular activities have either been moved indoors or cancelled for today. The district will continue to monitor the situation and announce any other future schedule changes.

Last week at Sultana High School we had Veronica Rousseau and Jessica Soto from Desert Mountain SELPA come conduct a professional training for our high school ECE students. The students learned about effective classroom strategies for circle time and how conscious discipline ties into everything we do in the ECE classroom. The students had fun interacting and learning with our presenters.
